Korean Visa Application

Please read through and understand the process JTB Asia Pacific Phil. Corp. employs to all Korean Visa Application.

 

General Guidelines for Korean Visa Processing

  1. Korea Visa processing is Php 500.00 per person (for Philippine Passport Holders)
    1. Additional Php 2,000.00 for application to stay in Korea for 60 to 90 days.
    2. For Non-Philippine Passport Holders, please contact us.
  2. It takes ten (10) to fifteen (15) working days after all the documents are submitted to the embassy. Application may be prolonged if the embassy would require additional documents from the applicant.
  3. It is advisable to apply aat least two months before your travel date.
  4. Make sure that your visa application form is filled out correctly and using the editable file provided by the embassy. The only handwritten part is the actual signature of the applicant, no digital signatures will be honored.
  5. Forms and documents to be submitted must be printed in A4 Sized paper (210mm x 297mm). This is with exemption to official documents requested and released by, but not limited to, your company, issuing banks, and government offices.
  6. The Validity period of Korean Visa is three months once granted (single entry).
  7. Incomplete requirements will not be entertained by JTB.
  8. Multiple Entry Visa is subject to approval by the attending consul.

Schedule of Receiving Visa Application

  1. Clients may submit avail the visa processing service for Korea on our following outlets and on the following schedules only:
    1. BGC Head Office – Monday to Friday 10:00AM to 04:00PM
    2. Travel Saloon SM Mall of Asia – Monday to Sunday 10:00AM to 06:00PM
    3. Travel Saloon Vertis North – Monday to Friday 11:00AM to 04:00PM & Saturday to Sunday 10:00AM to 04:00PM
    4. Travel Saloon Glorietta 3 Makati – Monday to Sunday 11:00AM to 06:00PM
  2. Failure to submit your complete requirements will not be received and entertained by JTB; likewise, any request for filing before or beyond the aforementioned schedule will not be honored.
  3. Aforementioned schedules may be changed due to holidays, events, and other reasons thereof. Always check with the preferred office or outlet before visiting to submit your application.

 

Schedule of Releasing Visa Application

  1. Passports will only be released on the office or outlet where it was filed. Below is the schedule of releasing of passports
    1. BGC Head Office – Monday to Friday 10:00AM to 04:00PM
    2. Travel Saloon SM Mall of Asia – Monday to Sunday 10:00AM to 06:00PM
    3. Travel Saloon Vertis North – Monday to Friday 11:00AM to 04:00PM & Saturday to Sunday 10:00AM to 04:00PM
    4. Travel Saloon Glorietta 3 Makati – Monday to Sunday 11:00AM to 06:00PM
  2. Request for release before or beyond the aforementioned schedule will not be entertained.
  3. Passport can be picked-up on the office or outlet where it was filed on the next working day upon the release from the embassy.

 

Supplementary Requirements and Documents Requested by the Embassy

  1. Applicants are advised that the Embassy of Korea has the sole discretion to request for supplementary or additional documents that is not found on the checklists provided.
  2. Once our team is notified of the need for additional documents by the embassy, the applicant will be informed accordingly.

 

Terms and Conditions for Korean Visa Application at JTB Asia Pacific Phil. Corp.

JTB ASIA PACIFIC PHIL. CORP. (hereafter referred to as the “Company”) only accepts instructions on the following terms which will take effect upon signing of the transmittal form during your visa application.

  1. The Embassy has the sole right and absolute discretion for the approval and denial of the visa application. They will not disclosed the reason for the rejection.
  2. The Company shall not be responsible if any visa application is refused or rejected.
  3. All of the documents (original and photocopy) received by the Company will be forwarded to the Embassy and WILL NO LONGER RETURN TO THE APPLICANT except for the passport.
  4. The regular processing time of the visa application is 7 to 10 WORKING DAYS. This is subject to change without prior notice.
  5. In the event of the denial of visa application, the payment is NON REFUNDABLE.
  6. All signed documents are considered correct and in proper order.
  7. Request for pull out of passport, for whatever reason thereof, once submitted at the Embassy is not allowed.
  8. Applicant has the sole responsibility of the validity of his passport to travel (must still be valid for 6 months prior to intended travel date). Any problem arising from this issue will not be the liability of the Company.
  9. Applicant must disclose full information should they have international travel during the processing of their Korea Visa.

  11. E-4/C-3 visa holders cannot invite his/her family.

 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Why should the application form be filled out computerized and not handwritten?

    • Effective July 01, 2018, the embassy provided strict instruction to its accredited agencies that all application forms must be computerized when filled out. Only the signature portion is to be accomplished handwritten. No digital signatures are honored.

2. What are the OECD countries that is honored by the Korean Embassy?

    • The 34 OECD member countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 3. In filing for application travelling as a family, should we submit the original and latest birth certificate and marriage contract?

    • It is not necessary to submit the latest birth certificate of marriage contract. Photocopy of these documents will be sufficient.

4. Why can’t JTB provide us the reason for denial of our visa application?

    • The embassy has the sole discretion and reason regarding denied visa applications to Korea. The embassy does not disclose this information to its accredited agencies. Please refer to the attached document in your passport provided by the embassy or contact the embassy for further information.

5. Can we appeal denied visa applications to Korea?

    • The embassy does not honor and accept appeal for denied visa applications. The applicant may re-apply for visa after six months.

6. Is Express service offered in JTB?

    • Yes, you may avail the express service of Php 1,000.00 per application and the processing days will just be for three (3) to five (5) days.
    • Express visa processing will be implemented for temporary visitor’s visa only. (Not applicable for spouse visa, working visa, study abroad, etc.)
    • Express visa should be applied at the time of visa application. Processing is within 3 – 5 working days excluding the date of application.
    • Express fee will not be returned in case visa application is denied.
    • Due to limited filing capacity of Korean Embassy’s designated agencies, we will check and review the applications of the clients and determine who we should prioritize in submitting first; even if Express Service is purchased by the applicant.
